A big big thank you to Chris Hector and Roz Neave of The Horse Magazine http://www.horsemagazine.com for helping us organise our visits and guest speakers. Chris and Roz have been very generous in providing us with some great opportunities to visit studs, coaches and training centres that will really make our trip worthwhile
Thank you too
Mary Seefried who has organised for us to meet with some of the judges and officials at the competitions.

a book to read and some music
a couple of click seal plastic bags for dirty clothes or wet items
a photocopy of your passport and any credit or bank cards you bring
a shirt with sleeves (short or long are ok but no singlet tops) for riding lessons
as an alternative you can get an overseas sim card for germany which charges calls from germany rather than Australia

at least one jumper in case it is cold
camera
emergency phone numbers and contaCt details
gloves
hand luggage on the plane - don't foreget the restrictions in place that relate to the type of items you can take and the size of the containers
it's a good idea to have at least 2 sources of money so a few travellers cheques or a travel card as well as some cash and a card you can access ATM's in Germany from is a good idea
jodhpurs or breeches
lightweight clothes for warm weather

Notebook to write down places we visit, people we meet and information you learn from our guest speakers
phone card or plenty of credit on your mobile, remember to cedhck if you have global roaming, also rem, ember that you will be charged for incoming as well as outgoing calls so it can be very expensive

sand shoes, joggers or walking shoes
sandles or thongs (jandles I think in NZ)
shady hat
spurs if you usually ride with them
